Therapy & Counselling

No Referral to Chase
For standard psychiatry, psychology and therapy claims, Irish Life doesn't generally ask for a GP referral. You pay MindPath, then upload your receipt online.
The Clock Is Tighter Here
Irish Life gives you six months from the end of your policy year to submit - half of what VHI and Laya allow. Claiming right after each appointment is the safe habit.
Check your own numbers. Refund amounts and annual limits live in your Table of Cover, and cover can change mid-year, so it's worth confirming your plan before you book.

Fully registered, clearly shown. Each MindPath clinician is registered with IMC, PSI or IACP / ICP, and every receipt carries those details, so there's nothing extra for you to gather before you claim.
Good to Know
Irish Life & MindPath: Your Questions
It depends on your Table of Cover. Some plans pay a set amount per visit, others a percentage up to a cap. For an assessment that produces one receipt, you submit the full amount and Irish Life reimburses up to your plan's limit. Your Member Portal shows the exact figures for your plan.
Yes. Irish Life's online claiming is built around uploading receipts, and video appointments are treated the same as in-person ones. MindPath assessments and psychiatry are delivered online by IMC- and PSI-registered clinicians, with complete receipts ready to upload.
Usually not. For standard psychiatry, psychology and therapy claims the process is about paying the clinician and uploading the receipt. Your Table of Cover will note any special conditions attached to your particular plan.
Because it's half the time VHI and Laya give. Irish Life needs day-to-day receipts within six months of your policy year end, and after that the claim won't be paid. Submitting through the portal right after each appointment - it only takes a few minutes - keeps you comfortably inside the window.
Yes. Follow-up psychiatry for titration and repeat prescriptions typically falls under your psychiatry or specialist benefit. MindPath issues a receipt for each appointment - check your Table of Cover for the visit limits and amounts on your plan.
Book Now, Claim Before the Clock Runs
Book → meet online → get your receipt → upload in the Member Portal.
Disclaimer: Cover depends on your insurer, plan and clinician
registration. MindPath cannot guarantee reimbursement - always check your Table of Cover
before booking. MindPath is not affiliated with Irish Life Health; we simply provide
