Where VHI Helps

The MindPath Services Your VHI Plan May Cover

Most VHI plans include an allowance towards seeing a psychiatrist or psychologist. That's exactly the kind of care ADHD, Autism and AuDHD assessment and treatment involves, so a portion of your MindPath fees may come back to you.

Full ADHD Assessment

A structured, multi-stage assessment led by PSI-registered psychologists and UKAAN-trained clinicians, with psychiatry input where needed. It is the part of your care your psychology or consultant allowance is designed for.

Full Autism Assessment

A gold-standard ADOS-2 assessment led by PSI-registered psychologists, giving you a clear diagnosis and a personalised support plan.

Full AuDHD Assessment

A combined ADHD and Autism assessment for people who show traits of both, led by PSI-registered psychologists, giving you one clear diagnosis and one joined-up support plan.

Psychiatry & Medication

Diagnosis, second opinions and ongoing medication reviews with IMC-registered consultant psychiatrists - the type of specialist visit VHI's psychiatry benefit is meant for.

Therapy & Coaching

Practical therapy and coaching for ADHD, Autism and AuDHD with accredited therapists (IACP / ICP) to build routines, focus and confidence.

Book Without a GP Visit

There's no waiting for a referral. Book your MindPath appointment when it suits you, and claim afterwards straight from your phone.

Claim As You Go

You don't have to wait until the end of a course of care. Submit each receipt to VHI as you receive it, and let the refunds arrive along the way.

Why Our Receipts Are Accepted

Registered Clinicians VHI Recognises

VHI reimburses care from practitioners registered with recognised professional bodies. Every MindPath clinician clears that bar, so there are no surprises when you claim.

Clinical Psychologists

PSI-registered, UKAAN-trained for ADHD and experienced in ADOS-2 Autism assessment - the profile VHI's psychology benefit is written around.

Assessment & Therapy

Consultant Psychiatrists

Registered with the Irish Medical Council, so their appointments sit under your psychiatry / consultant benefit.

Psychiatry

Accredited Therapists

Accredited with IACP / ICP for therapy and coaching that VHI recognises.

Therapy
No detective work needed. Every MindPath receipt already carries the clinician's registration details, so your VHI claim goes through without back-and-forth.
Good to Know

VHI & MindPath: Your Questions

The quickest way is to open MyVhi and tap "Check my benefits." Your plan will show a set amount per visit and a cap on visits per year for psychiatry and psychology. Since amounts differ from plan to plan, that's the number to trust rather than a general estimate.
Yes. VHI treats video consultations with registered practitioners the same as in-person visits. All MindPath care is delivered online by PSI- or IMC-registered clinicians, and you claim through MyVhi in the usual way.
Yes, and it's usually the smart move. Because VHI pays per visit, each stage of your MindPath assessment has its own receipt and can be claimed separately - helping you make the most of your per-visit allowance.
No. You can book with MindPath directly and claim with VHI afterwards - no referral required at either step.
Sooner is better. Submission windows vary by scheme, so our advice is to send each receipt through MyVhi right after your appointment while the details are in front of you.
